Quinta Vale d’Aldeia with the best Portuguese wine in competition at the 14th edition of the Lyon International Competition, 2025.
Quinta Vale d’Aldeia Grande Reserva Red 2020 was considered by the critics/jury of the Lyon International Competition to be the best Portuguese wine, in 2025.
Over the 14 years of the competition and the more than 61,000 wines tasted, the competition has become known in France and abroad as a guarantee of quality.
The competition follows strict rules regarding its organization, optimum storage conditions, the classification of wines based on numerous criteria (appellation, vintage, grape varieties, etc.), blind tasting, verification by selected tasters, a 100-point scoring scale based on the OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine) model, etc.
