In the Upper Douro region, Quinta Vale d’Aldeia produces organic extra virgin olive oil from selected olives of the traditional Portuguese varieties Galega, Cordovil, Picual and Cobrançosa. Harvested at optimal ripeness and cold-extracted a few hours later, they give rise to an olive oil of remarkable purity and character.
With a clear green hue, it reveals an intense fruity aroma. On the palate it is balanced and elegant, with delicate bitterness and a pleasant peppery finish.
The olive groves grow in the characteristic shist soils of the Upper Douro, at altitudes between 450 and 650 meters. These unique soil and climate conditions contribute to the aromatic intensity and balance of this organic olive oil.
Ideal for salads, finishing dishes, artisanal bread and Mediterranean cuisine.
